Adam walks over and informs the teacher, "Sir, I think it's time to go now, sir."

He can see out of the corner of his eye that the two boys are frantically unbuckling their shin-splints, and grins to himself as he saunters back over. The other boys have already formed into a ring around them.

Adam takes his time, seeing understanding dawn on their faces as he approaches.

"Not thinking of going, were you?"
